Our Parish Root

Zadruga grows from a living parish: Holy Apostles Orthodox Church in Sandpoint, Idaho, a parish of the Serbian Orthodox Diocese of Western America, serving Sandpoint and the surrounding North Idaho communities with the full liturgical life of the Orthodox Church.

The community project forms in association with the parish and under proper ecclesiastical blessing — which means visitors and prospective families can do something no brochure allows: come to church. Stand at a Vigil. Meet the people. Taste the life the village is being built to hold.
