The Young Adult Ministry House

The gap

Between 18 and 28, a young Orthodox Christian typically faces a choice nobody designed on purpose: leave home for a university dorm or a distant city apartment — and drift from the Church — or stay in a childhood bedroom with no path forward. The parish that baptized them has nothing to offer between Sunday school and marriage.

We are building the missing thing.

The house

A timber lodge near the village center with twenty simple, genuinely affordable rooms — ten for young men, ten for young women, in separate wings or paired buildings, with common rooms, a shared kitchen, and a chapel corner. Rent is kept low on purpose; this is a ministry, not a revenue stream.

The life

Residents are not tenants; they are apprentices in a way of life: work on the farm, in construction of the village itself, or in nearby towns; prayer with daily access to the cycle of services next door; formation in the seminary-level courses; mentorship from the families of the community; and courtship — a place where young men and women can meet and marry within the Faith, seriously and in the open.

What we expect

A resident agrees to a rule of life: participation in the services, honest work, sobriety of conduct, and contribution to the house. This is not a hostel. It is the front porch of the community — and for many residents, we expect it to be the first chapter of a life spent here: house, then marriage, then a starter home, then a family parcel.
